Busy at Home

Titus 2:5--"...to be busy at home.."

I usually have at least one day a week that I don't get called to sub. This is usually my "busy at home" day.

What exactly does the Bible mean by being busy at home?  It means taking care of the domestic duties of the home (laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc).  It also means taking care of those who live inside of your home. Make a nice dinner for your husband, make your home open to guests and invest time and energy into your children's lives.

Being busy in your home doesn't have to be all about chores or work. Find joy in making your home a  relaxing place for your family and for guests. I find joy in organizing, decorating my home, finding the best deals at the store and baking for me and my husband. I also love to turn on a Christian radio station while cleaning and doing laundry. It helps me remember this verse:  1 Corinthians 10:31--"..whatever you do, do all to the glory of God"

Where do you find joy in being busy at home?
